4:23PM - Mowing Dehydration Headache, so I am fallen to this low...
Arguably, this meme quiz has the most misspellings I've ever encountered. But yay, I wound up a pretty good Jedi. Now I need to use the Force on this stupid headache. I have Iron Man/Avengers fic to write!

3:30PM - Waiting for taxi doodle
This is what happens when the taxi guy is stuck in traffic on the way to pick me up from the grocery store.
Ok, am v. sleepy now. Been v. sleepy a lot lately (I dunno, but I blame FOOD. Evil food is always getting me.) Lawn has HUGE HUGE weeds cuz I haven't felt motivated to mow in forever. Haven't even bothered to go out looking for photo ops in the yard (kittens/mom cat still coming around, but I'm trying not to feed them more than once a day, really am hoping they'll get bored & find another sucker haven't the energy to THINK about them, haven't the energy to go back to fighting the power line business (yeah, still not been done), just been sittin' by the 'puter reading/writing Iron Man/Avengers stuff. I did finally sew up a few of the cut & stitch panels I'd designed, but haven't got 'round to photographing them, a Pudgy Puppy & a couple jack-o-lantern treat bags. So sleeepy...
I think in the last 2 months I have prob. written around 100,000 words of fic (pretty much wrote & posted nearly every day) so it's not all bad. AO3's hit/comment/kudo system is really *enabling*. People say 'oh, I wish there was another chapter' or 'oh, it'd be great if' or just 'OMG I love this' and ... I am such a sucker for ego-boo.

10:23AM - Not Everyone Runs on Batteries (Iron Man/Avengers slash fic) COMPLETE

12:14PM - A few seconds of the second extra scene on Avengers movie

3:17PM - I have seen The Avengers (no spoilers here)
EXCELLENT. Not a boring moment in the whole movie. Characterization/ in character interaction/ tons of action/ heroing stuff yay. And the 3-D worked for me throughout- I'd been wondering, cuz my distance eyeglasses are BIG, but the 3-D fit on pretty good, and only cut out the sides where the screen wasn't anyway. I was gratified that the one point I picked up on from viewing the promo clips was RIGHT. YAY, go me.
I just want to note that there IS a tiny additional scene after the credits begin. I DID NOT stay for all the credits because the taxi was waiting, but I figured they were unlikely to put TWO additional scenes in so I doubt I missed anything besides really neat credits... shall watch them on DVD later. I WAS WRONG, there's another scene in US showings. A fan caught it and posted it to youtube. It only makes sense if you've seen the movie. I hope it doesn't disappear before everyone who couldn't see it gets a chance. *EDIT* AWWW, it's gone already. Disney's rodent lawyers are fast!

I DID wear my arc reactor t-shirt. I left it on during the 20 minutes or so of previews, but turned it off when the movie began- it really really isn't a bright light, so prob. wouldn't have disturbed anyone, anyway. One guy did come and sit two seats away from me and commented 'Nice Shirt'. :^)
I went to the first daylight showing & there were only about 20 people, all nicely behaved folk (the only time we said anything was during mutual moments when the movie positively DEMANDED you go YES! ALll RIGHT!) So it was worth the $70.

11:36AM - *grumble* Avengers plan fell through
I called the movie theater I'd found and the phone just rang & rang. I regoogled and the movie listing site said 'the theater hasn't given us any listings' but the kicker was another site further down the google list that said 'this theater is listed as inactive'.
*sigh* So there are no acceptable theaters close to me.
I mapquested again. 8 results, some closed, some seedy, a couple even further away than the movie by the eye doctor. So that's my best option-- 7 mile/15 minutes away (and Mapquest always underestimates the time traffic adds to the trip). So, am looking at a minimum 40 min round trip taxi ride. *ponders* Do I want to see Tony's tushie on a big screen that badly?
Sadly, the answer is probably yes.
